Human resources (HR) quality within a company organization is needed to
improve the performance and productivity of a company. HR with skill and
competence can improve employee performance. In that case the employee
performance appraisal needs to be done to know the achievement achievement of
each employee. In the process of employee performance appraisal, not a few
criteria that have been determined by the company. Each company has its own
criteria during the employee performance appraisal process. The number of
criteria used to make the management difficult to give weight for each criterion.
Therefore, in order to handle the problem needed a decision support system. This
research raises a case of finding the best alternative based on predetermined
criteria using Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. Decision support system
with SAW method can help if there is a change in the number and name of the
criteria. Research is done by finding the weight value for each attribute, then the
ranking process to determine the optimal alternative, that is the best employee.
